Leg pain that is associated with low back pain is often called sciatica.
This is due to it being caused by irritation to the sciatic nerve. The primary approach we use here is known as the McKenzie method for which there is a lot of evidence supporting its effectiveness. This approach works very well with a certain group of patients however it may be more appropriate to use traction or dry needling depending on what it is causing your symptoms. We will determine this on our initial consultation. In addition it may be more appropriate to refer you to a different healthcare professional and we will let you know this after we have completed the initial consultation.
